Metigy Product Updates August 2019: Expired Tokens can now be fixed with one easy click

26th August 2019

2 mins.

As most social media marketers will know, as a security feature, all platforms regularly validate publishing permissions by requiring tokens to be renewed. Metigy can’t change that, but we can make it a lot less inconvenient by improving how you reconnect!

When a token expires, or is due to expire, to ensure you have the best experience in Metigy – such as not having gaps in your data or content failing to publish – we encourage you to renew it 14 days before it expires. Until now, you would have received an email with a link. But, our research and your feedback found that this was cumbersome and sometimes hard to execute.

Not anymore! When a token is due to expire or has expired, you will now get a popup when you log into Metigy for each token that needs renewing:

We show that to all “admin” users of a brand – the same people who receive the email. It will only show once each time you log into Metigy. To action it, simply click “Renew Token” and a window will open to fetch a new token from the expired platform. You may have to click something in the popup to action it, but it should be frictionless for you. And you can dismiss it by clicking “remind me later” if you don’t want to do it now or know you are not someone with permission on the page – read more on token permissions.

This should make it much, much easier for you! Please let us know if you have any feedback on this flow. And we are working on further improving your experience with how you connect and manage your platform tokens.
If you want to know more about tokens, we have a help article explaining tokens, what they are and how they work.

URLs for all Facebook AD Goals

Great news! You can now use the traffic and conversion AD Goals with any type of content removing the previous link post restriction. Simply select one of the website goals and the Call to Action panel will be available:

This is a great way to use ADs to get people to your website and makes it very clear what the people that see your ad can do.
We hope you enjoy these updates! And as always, if you have any feedback or feature request, let us know in the comments below.
